I have painted the words on the crumpled paper that is painted, they mean "Help us please".

The piece was born out of my sadness over the American/Mexican so called drug wars which is actually a slow coup de etat that is destroying Mexico and killing thousands of innocents. It is a huge injustice on our doorstep.

An injustice supported by my country and that to my south.

This could be a piece of paper one might find on the Mexican American border.

A young Mexican /Canadian woman, Harumi Montalvo-March wrote the words for me and I painted them as she wrote them, blending them into the wrinkles of the paper.
